The AMI Marine Mini Recorder Range

Designed for the small vessel and workboat industry, the AMI Marine Mini Recorder range is ideal for vessels under 3000 GT and who are not mandated to carry a full VDR/S-VDR.
The Mini Recorders have also proven popular as a land-based recorder, with harbour and port control offices making use of these systems for the analyses of VHF communications and AIS data.

X2 VDR & S-VDR

The X2 VDR Voyage Data Recorder is built on Solid-State, high-performance technology allowing for extreme reliability and offering a superior user experience.
Exceeding the MSC.333(90) regulations, the X2 system doubles as a convenient bridge monitoring tool allowing all sensor data to be viewed in real-time on the supplied 8” or 9.7” PCAP touch screen display.
In addition to carrying full VDR approval, the X2 is also available as a fully approved high-performance, low-cost S-VDR, meeting the requirements of MSC.163(78).

SMIDS MKII Legacy System

SMIDS is AMI Marine’s highly accurate and reliable GNSS Speed and Distance Measuring Equipment (SDME). A low-cost alternative to the doppler systems found on many vessels for docking and manoeuvring, SMIDS uses data received from GPS and GLONASS satellites to accurately measure the vessel’s movement relative to the ground.
