Three new fully COSPAS-SARSAT approved EPIRBs
From July 1st, 2022, the IMO and SOLAS requirements MSC.471(101), will become mandatory. This new performance standard for float-free EPIRB’s operating on 406 MHz, enable improved functionality that will offer quicker SAR response and ability to locate the vessel and crew in distress.
The Tron 40VDR AIS with bracket is a combined Cospas-Sarsat/MED approved EPIRB and a float-free storage medium. The separate VDR storage module has a standardized memory capacity of 80 Gb. This EPIRB is compliant with the mandatory IMO regulation (as of July 2022) and SOLAS regulation. MED, MER (UK) and FCC approved.
