SY Tenacious - 1 AMI Marine

Surprise visit to S/Y Tenacious

Martin Cox made a surprise visit to S/Y Tenacious which is owned and run by our partners The Jubilee Sailing Trust. Since its launch in 2000, 13000 people have sailed her. S/Y Tenacious is the largest wooden hulled tall ship of her type to be made since the end of the 19th century.

Martin had the good fortune of meeting with Jim Phillips (2nd Mate & ETO) at the Port of Portland in Weymouth, as he was visiting the port to discuss safety and data recording solutions.

We have  supported The Jubilee Sailing Trust for some years now, having provided bespoke BNWAS solutions and our X300 NMEA testers, one for S/Y Tenacious and one for STS Lord Nelson. Jim was especially delighted to be receiving these testers which will save enormous time when maintaining and testing the navigation equipment on board each of these beautiful tall ships.

Martin has added “We are delighted to be supporting The Jubilee Sailing Trust and will continue to support the amazing work that they do for people with limited physical abilities and preserving these impressive ships for future generations. We’re in business to deliver quality products and great service, but also want to give back by making a difference where we can”.
