Our Online Training has been a huge success since we launched it in 2020. In reaction to the global pandemic and the unprecedented restrictions on travel, it was the perfect solution to continue with AMI Marine training.

Now that we are well into 2023, alongside our usual online training, we think it’s time to re-start training here at our Facilities in Southampton, England.

MARINE ENGINEERS FORM A PART OF YOUR COMPANY’S FUTURE! 

AMI Marine offers a fantastic training course. Over the years, our dedicated training centre has hosted trainees from around the world!

The training focuses on our key AMI products the S-VDR and VDR Systems. The training also provides overviews of other AMI equipment.

This includes installation and setup, fault finding and resolving problems, and Annual Surveys. Also, providing a good general understanding of the AMI software.

Once engineers complete the training, they are certified to conduct servicing and repair work on AMI equipment.

Therefore, they can work back in their home country. Also, they can join our ‘Engineer Task Force’. (International Emergency Response Engineers)

This is a unique group of trusted and brilliant engineers. Who are poised and ready to travel. Anywhere in the world.

They conduct emergency and time dependant service and repair work.

Engineers are selected carefully. They are also trained to service other trusted brand equipment.

Because of this, we can offer servicing across all other trusted brands too.

The engineers make up our worldwide network of global engineers. Because of this, we offer global solutions for your ship management needs.

IS THIS IN-PERSON TRAINING FOR YOU?

AMI provide training courses designed for qualified marine electronic engineers. Attendees for in-person training can have lots or limited experience working on AMI products.

The standard training course lasts three full days. This training is available to private and company engineers looking to get the most out of AMI products.

WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS COURSE?

Our product-specific training enables you to join our worldwide network of trusted providers. This covers installation, service and support which is offered to AMI customers.

Once Engineers pass their exam, each one is issued with an Approved Training Certificate. This initial certification is valid for 3 years as standard.

Training is held online, and at our centre in Southampton, UK. We also conduct bespoke courses all around the world, for groups of as little as 6 or more participants.

WHERE WILL YOU STAY?

We have teamed up with a local hotel ‘Room 2’ here in Southampton to offer excellent accommodation, which is both affordable and comfortable!

This hotel offers a choice of hospitality arrangements, ranging from Bed and Breakfast, evening dining or just use the in-room self-catering facilities.

Room 2 boasts excellent reviews and a memorable stay.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Once qualified, engineers will be able to begin selling, servicing and installing AMI products. We encourage engineers to take initiative in sales and to promote their qualifications on the AMI brand.

Partner companies are encouraged to be proactive in sourcing work themselves, therefore building their own customer base whilst utilising the skills learnt with us.
