Float Free Recoverable Capsule – 64GB

Storage of a minimum of 48 hours of data gathered by the voyage data recorder.

The AMI Capsule is a Cospas-Sarsat and MED-approved float-free capsule that combines an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) And a 64GB float-free storage medium to meet the MSC.333(90) and IEC 61996-1 Ed 2.0 VDR regulations.

The AMI Capsule has been designed in accordance with and therefore complies with the MSC 333(90), IEC61097-2 and IEC61992-1 Ed.2.0 performance standards.

Requirements

From July 1st, 2014, any new VDR system installed must store at least 48 hours of voyage data. The AMI Capsule contains 64GB of storage capacity. Consequently, this will exceed the 48 hours of data required.
