SYS-0095 System: SMIDS Pro Satellite Speed Log System
This SMIDS Pro configuration offers the most accurate Type Approved satellite speed log system for large commercial vessels. It is a modular 2-axis system for Speed Over Ground for all vessels constructed after July 1st 2014.
SMIDS Pro is Commercial Maritime’s most economic and accurate SDME (Speed Distance Measuring Equipment) system using state-of-the-art technology to provide vessel Distance to Berth and Course Prediction options.
- Uses high accuracy, multi-constellation GNSS Positioning.
- A Transmitting Heading Device (THD), with an integral GNSS heading sensor.
- A Primary or Secondary Heading Device.

SYS-0093 System: SMIDS Pro Docking System
This Type Approved Speed Log Docking System is well suited to large vessels in excess of 50,000GRT, provides distance to berth information and predictive course indications of the vessel Stern, Bow and Midships with a worldwide accuracy of ±0.01kn/0.3m.
SYS-0094 System: SMIDS Pro Docking System with Pilot
SMIDS Pro SYS-0094 gives the ultimate vessel movement and navigation data independently of all other systems onboard with a position accuracy of ±0.01 kn/0.03m (3cm).
This system provides docking speed log information with the additional benefit of meeting the Panama Canal requirements of a Non-Portable Piloting Aid, well suited to vessels of a beam of 109 feet and greater.
SYS-0096 System: SMIDS Pro Panama Pilot System
This SMIDS Pro system gives a straight-out-of-the-box solution for vessels transiting the Panama Canal, meeting the requirement of being a Non-Portable Piloting Aid. The SYS-0096 SMIDS Pro offers navigation data collection and easy to read display. Vessel operators can use the SMIDS Pro Panama Pilot System worldwide to provide accurate navigation data when navigating at sea or in other inland waterways and transiting canals worldwide.
