X16-A

Converts Analogue Signals, +/- Voltage to NMEA Data

The X16-A converts variable voltage, or 4-20mA signals often associated with navigation instruments such as Engine RPM, Engine Telegraph, Thrusters, etc into NMEA 0183 data.

With 16 input channels, the X16-A covers most requirements for applications such as interfacing older instruments to VDR / S-VDR systems.

The maximum input voltage is +/- 30V, with the source equipment protection in the form of opto isolated input ports.

Data pass-through allows for a number of interfaces to be connected together, or for other NMEA data to be combined with the X16-A’s own data and passed on to the destination equipment.

Features

  • 16x Input channels up to +/- 30V max
  • NMEA Data output
  • Isolation from ground and other channels
  • Data pass through option
  • Jumper selection for AC/DC input signals
