Digital to NMEA Interface

The ‘X32-D Digital to NMEA Interface’ is designed to convert digital ‘on/off’ signals into NMEA data for applications such as recording relevant information on a the voyage data recorder.

Typical examples of inputs would be watertight door status, fire alarm status and navigation equipment alarms. The majority of these systems will have an on/off or open/closed indication in the wheelhouse which can be connected to the X32-D for conversion to an NMEA data string.
